I rebuilt the shifter in the miata and holy crap its so much better! Shifting is a piece of cake and replacing the trashed boots I am sure has helped quiet the interior.
If you have a miata rebuild the shifter and get new boots. Super easy to do and makes a dramatic improvement.
Have this totally unrelated but gorgeous C7

Hmmm. Not sure if I prefer white with black wheels or white with white wheels.

mine had torn the shreds both of the boots and it sucked so much noise and heat coming through.

Honestly it's something I've been meaning to do for years but stuff like the throttle cable snapping two days ago happen and I forget about it.
Did it work well for the heat? Mine is seriously cooking. Been that way for so long I've forgotten what it's supposed to feel like.
